There are a number of steps involved in strategic planning and strategic management. Each one has a purpose and a conclusion. Each one needs to be done so that the business can get to where you want it to be. When it comes to strategic management and planning it is important that you have goals set. These goals can be set at a number of different times. They do not all have to come to pass at the same time. You can set out small goals that allow you to get to your main goal so that you know how much progress you are making. You also need a plan that will help you to reach each of these goals in the time span that you have allocated to them. You have to be sensible about what you are trying to achieve though or you will be aiming for something that is not going to happen any time soon.
