The French company Evigroup recently announced that their Intel based tablet, SmartPaddle Pro, will be available with Windows 8 and Windows 7 dual boot configuration. Of course, this so-called ?first Windows 8 tablet? is not running Windows 8 proper, but rather the preview version. Once Microsoft ?releases the official Windows 8, Evigroup customers will receive the update for free. Evigroup will offer both Windows 7 and 8 so that customers get a chance to decide which version they prefer.
On Evigroup?s website the price of the SmartPaddle Pro is set at 759 euro.?It is one of the many variants of Pegatron Slate 7 AKA the WeTab. Under the hood of the 11.6-inch tablets lies an Intel Atom N450 processor with 1GB of RAM and a 32 ? or 64 GB SSD.
