If you read yesterday's post, you will or might remember that I made this toolbox back in junior high school some 30 plus years ago. My dad used this box ever since and now that they are downsizing to move into a cottage, I was handed back my memories of junior high wood shop class. I still remember making this.?
Anyway, I don't know if you ever checked out his blog, but Michael from Inspired By Charm, planted trailing ivy geraniums into an old chicken feeder. Well, he inspired me to run right out and purchase and ivy geranium and plant it in this old tool box! Then there is Donna from Funky Junk Interiors, who uses old tools in her gardening and since this box says TOOLS, I thought I would take some old (I wish they were crustier, but that will come in time) garden tools and plant them in the box with the bacopa and ivy geranium.?So there is my tool box. Complete with ivy geraniums, bacopa and garden tools.?
I sat it on my front porch to enjoy when Mr H and I sit out on the porch in the evenings after supper.?
I think that garden rake needs to rusty up a bit. Since I have tons of garden tools, I am sure by sitting out in the weather, he will toughen up a bit. No loss for me...I have more.?
I only purchased one ivy geranium, so she needs to spread out a bit, but we have all summer for that. Nothing a little miracle grow won't cure!!!
Other containers I have in the garden are my wheelbarrow I acquired at a yard sale last month. I put a basket of coleus inside and the zinnias in the front of the picture were just purchased today along with the above flowers.?
Mr H had these two white old boot planters that I planted hens and chicks in.?
I love adornments in my garden and have many around the several gardens I have created at our home.?
Have a fun weekend!!!
